For four decades, the name of E G Murray has been synonymous with local, trusted and professional insurance broking and financial planning throughout Lanarkshire and beyond.

E G Murray is a family business, headed by owner Gerry Murray and his son Antony Murray along with their team Tom Flanigan, Tracey McBride, Abigail McKenzie, with Gerry’s wife Angela providing continuous support from day one.

Antony commented: “I am very proud of my Dad reaching such a milestone. The fact that so many clients have stayed with us over the years shows what a great reputation he has built. Our team have also remained very loyal which ensures our clients benefit from consistency of service. Full credit to the team and my Mum for putting up with him!”

Based at 7 Victoria Place in Airdrie, the company is an independent consultancy providing specialist business insurance, employee benefits and financial planning advice. The company offer a number of services to their private and business clients, with much support currently being given to local businesses for Pension Automatic Enrolments.

Local business man Ronnie Docherty, Managing Director of Ronald Docherty Civil Engineering, said: “We really value dealing with local businesses and the personal touch that E G Murray give. They have been our broker for around 30 years and we’re delighted with their service.” 

The company are proud to be celebrating 40 years in business and have used the occasion to focus on raising funds for St Andrews Hospice. Louise O’Donnell, St Andrew’s Hospice, Deputy Head of Fundraising, said: “We are extremely grateful for all the support given to us by E G Murray over the years and are delighted with their latest initiative to help the Hospice as part of their celebrations.”

Gerry Murray added “As a community broker and financial advisers we are proud to support and advise local charities such as St Andrews Hospice.”

Antony concluded: “E G Murray’s loyal clients have been key to their success, they’ve stayed with us and kindly recommended us to others. For the remainder of the year and for all of 2017, for every successful business referral, we'll make a donation to St Andrew's Hospice.”
