Vietnam Trek 2016

17 October 2016

As part of E G Murray's 40th Anniversary, Antony has taken part in a gruelling 6 day trek in the searing heat of Vietnam, in aid of St Andrew’s Hospice. The Hospice group trekked through jungle, over ancient mountain passes, around terraced paddy fields and into friendly, minority villages, finishing in the capital Hanoi.

Antony commented: "Conditions were tough with the heat being plus 5 degrees hotter than expected for the time of year. That along with a bout of sickness that had the group of 15 of us dropping like flies, which thankfully only caught up with me on the finish line of the trek".

He continued "It was pretty remote, and we only saw 2 other travellers over the 6 days of the trek. It was an amazing experience and glad to have combined that with raising money for the hospice".

E G Murray would like to thank to all of those who have kindly sponsored the trek. To date, fundraising efforts have raised over £5,000. The JustGiving page is still open for those still intending to sponsor:
